چکیده
Background: Peripheral joint involvement is frequent among patients with peripheral spondylarthritis (SA). However, the root involvement, such as hip has been described being associated axial spondylarthritis, while data for shoulder are scarce. Cuff tendonitis and enthesitis common features in SA. Objectives: This study aimed to identify prevalence of SA describe its clinical radiological features. Methods: We conducted a retrospective including patients, all fulfilling assessment Spondyloarthritis International Society (ASAS) criteria. For we collected following data: Age, presentation SA, inflammatory biomarkers C-reactive protein (CRP), disease activity assessed by Bath Ankylosing Spondylitis Disease Activity Index (BASDAI). Regarding items: tenderness, mobility, rotator cuff tests, well results X-ray Ultrasound examination (US). Results: included one hundred thirty-one (mean age 39,77 years). Among them, sixty-two percent were male. Ten smokers, 46,6% had beginning disease. Fourteen complained pain. The majority them X-rays showed no abnormalities (n=2), destructive form was noted (n=7). Rotator rupture or enthesopathy also revealed reduction subacromial space (n=5), condensation greater tuberosity (n=3), crooked aspect acromion Moloney’s line disruption(n=1). US (n=1), supraspinatus tendinopathy transfixing tear infraspinatus moderate synovitis subacromiodeltoid bursitis (n=1). Shoulder correlated significantly (P < 0.05). A group of 113 women and 73 men with periarthritis of the shoulder have been studied in detail. Electromyography showed 4 patients with neuralgic amyotrophy who had been referred for the shoulder study but were excluded on this basis. Nerve conduction studies showed little difference between the periarthritic group and a control group, apart from some reduction in amplitude and potential, and i...
